COVID-19 Employer Updates

UPDATED! Governor Holcomb announced new restrictions to assist in the COVID-19 battle:

  • A statewide recommendation on the size limits of all gatherings based on a county’s COVID status (25 limit for a red county, 50 for an orange county, 100 for yellow county and 250 for a blue county). Exceptions may be granted through submitting a written safety plan to local health departments (through February 28)
  • Face coverings are required for all Hoosiers. Businesses of all types must place clearly visible signs at their public and employee entrances notifying all that face coverings are required (see prior executive order).
  • All customers in restaurants and bars are required to be seated. Tables, counters or other seating arrangements must be spaced six feet apart.

Indiana Chamber CEO Kevin Brinegar on what businesses can do: “I ask employers to urge their employees to follow all safety protocols – both on the job and in their activities outside of work. Continued dedication to these individual efforts is essential not only for the health and safety of our loved ones, but the ultimate business revival. Our economy will not be able to resume its full operations until the coronavirus is under control.”

The pandemic has ushered in a food insecurity crisis in Indiana. Below is a list of major food pantries throughout the state to consider for donation.
