AchieveWELL Companies, Indiana Healthy Community
Honored by Wellness Council of Indiana

August 29, 2022 (INDIANAPOLIS) — Improving Indiana’s health and wellness culture starts with organizations and communities making it a priority. The Wellness Council of Indiana (WCI) is pleased to recognize nine organizations across the state that have qualified for its AchieveWELL designation – and two communities for their for ongoing wellness efforts.

AchieveWELL is the Wellness Council of Indiana’s workplace wellness assessment, evaluation and recognition program. The designation is open to organizations that work toward creating a corporate culture that encourages and supports employee health and well-being. The program provides an independent assessment of wellness processes and the designation is divided into three levels: Three Star, Four Star and Five Star.

New AchieveWELL Five-Star Recipients: 

  • Bowen Center, Warsaw
  • The DeHayes Group, Fort Wayne
  • Indiana University Foundation, Bloomington
  • School City of Mishawaka, Mishawka

New AchieveWELL Four-Star Recipient:

Logansport Memorial Hospital, Logansport

New AchieveWELL Three-Star Recipients: 

  • HealthNet, Indianapolis
  • Lippert, Elkhart
  • TrueScripts, Washington
  • V3 Companies, Indianapolis

In addition, two communities earned the Indiana Healthy Community (IHC) designation: the City of Terre Haute and Orange County. The IHC initiative is an evidence-based collaboration process designed to help communities focus on implementing and sustaining a culture of health and well-being to spur economic vitality.

Furthermore, five communities successfully completed the IHC redesignation process and continue their dedication to community well-being and vitality:

  • Delaware County
  • Dubois County
  • Hancock County
  • Hendricks County
  • Kosciusko County

The aforementioned companies and communities will be recognized at the Indiana Wellness Summit September 21-22 at The Indiana Convention Center in downtown Indianapolis.

“Congratulations to the nine WCI member organizations for being recognized as AchieveWELL designated workplaces,” says Wellness Council of Indiana Executive Director Jennifer Pferrer. “The commitment to creating a culture of well-being is one aspect that creates a positive employee experience. Our newly designated Indiana Healthy Communities ensure that Indiana stays a healthier place to live, work, learn and play.”
