Wellness Council of Indiana Obesity Symposium
The Wellness Council of Indiana, home of the Indiana Obesity Collaborative will be hosting an Employer Obesity Symposium at the Indiana Historical Society, on Thursday, August 24th, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. EST. Join us at this free event as we convene Hoosier employers to explore the rising rates of obesity in Indiana, bias and stigma associated with obesity, economic impact of obesity as well as addressing new and evolving obesity resources.
The Wellness Council of Indiana is partnering with stakeholders to share what employers can do to reduce the impact of obesity on their bottom line and support employee community in actionable solutions.
This session will focus on:
- Views, beliefs and stigma associated with obesity.
- Science behind obesity and economic impact.
- Programs and resources for employers.
- New and evolving obesity resources
