Only 52 days until the 2021 Indiana Wellness Summit, sponsored by Everside Health, takes place August 12-13 at the Westin Indianapolis and online.
We are thrilled with this year’s keynote lineup where mental health takes center stage. Nora McInerny, bestselling author and host of the “Terrible, Thanks for Asking” podcast, kicks off the summit Thursday morning with her presentation, “Thanks for Asking, Better Than Fine: The Impact of Trauma on Mental Health.” McInerny will share the universal truths that make loss and suffering less lonely and how to express what you really need from others in your time of grief.
For the AchieveWELL awards luncheon on Thursday, Liesel Mertes from Handle with Care LLC discusses how employers can create a culture of care where employees are supported and empowered to competently care for each other. In this interactive and inspirational session, attendees will leave better equipped to offer empathy and compassion when it matters most.
Gregory Scott Brown, MD, brings the mental health conversation full circle on Friday as he discusses the growing body of evidence regarding how our food choices, moving our body, meditating and practicing gratitude can improve both physical and mental health. You’ll come away with a better understanding of how to support your mental health outside the walls of a therapist’s office, as well as the mental health of those around you.
