SUMMARY:Mental Health First Aid Training: April 29\, 2024
DESCRIPTION:Mental Health First Aid: April 29\, 2024 (In-Person Training-prior to Indiana Chamber HR Conference)\nMental Health First-Aid (MHFA) introduces participants to identify common signs and symptoms of mental health and substance use-related challenges\, builds understanding on their impact and provides an overview of common supports. This eight-hour course utilizes role play\, scenarios\, and activities to demonstrate how to offer initial help in a mental health crisis and connect persons to the appropriate professional\, peer\, social and self-help care. \nMHFA takes the fear and hesitation out of starting conversations about mental health and substance use problems by improving understanding and providing an action plan that teaches people to safely and responsibly identify and address a potential mental illness or substance use disorder. \nTraining is intended for all employees of your organization who wish to learn and support mental health well-being efforts. You only need to attend one eight-hour training to become a certified Mental Health First Aider\, a certification that lasts for three years. \nThis MHFA training will take place at the Indiana Chamber of Commerce Conference Center just prior to the Indiana Chamber HR Conference. \nWellness Council of Indiana member organizations price: $250 | List price: $345 \n10% discount for Indiana HR Conference attendees and Indiana Chamber members. \nCall (800) 824-6885 or email events@indianachamber.com to register and receive discount. \nLimit 30 registrants. \n\n\nRegister Here
