This eight-hour course utilizes role play\, scenarios\, and activities to demonstrate how to offer initial help in a mental health crisis and connect persons to the appropriate professional\, peer\, social and self-help care. \nStudies have shown that those who are trained in Mental Health First Aid have: \n\ngreater confidence in providing help to others;\ngreater likelihood of advising people to seek professional help;\nimproved agreement with health professionals about treatments; and\ndecreased stigmatizing attitudes.\n\nTraining is intended for all employees of your organization who wish to learn and support mental health well-being efforts.
