What Employers Should Know About the Diabetes Prevention Program
November 10 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
More than 30 million Americans have diabetes, which increases the risk of stroke, heart disease and other serious medical complications. People with diabetes miss more days of work and spend more on health care than people without the illness. According to the American Diabetes Association, diabetes and pre-diabetes cost an estimated $6.6 billion in Indiana annually.
The Wellness Council of Indiana is pleased to present the webinar “What Employers Should Know About the Diabetes Prevention Program.” Join us on November 10 at 2:00 p.m. ET as we welcome speaker Chelsy Winters, Association Director of Healthy Living for the YMCA of Greater Indianapolis.
Webinar attendees will gain an understanding of:
- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Diabetes Prevention Program and how it supports sustainable behavior change for employees at risk for diabetes
- How employers can partner with community-based programs to reduce the cost of diabetes
- How employers can successfully support diabetes prevention for their employees
